Archaeological Gallery, dhofar Governorate, Oman 

The Gallery, placed in the Archaeological Park of Khor Rori, is open every day. Entrance is free.

With the ticket bought at the entrance of the archaeological site, you can visit the gallery and the archaeological park including the remains of the temple along the lagoon, the tombs, the farms, the mosque and the Islamic settlement placed on the top of the hill.

A tourist guide of the site is available at the entrance of the site and in the gallery. Facilities can be found at the back of the Archaeological Gallery.

The Gallery contains some archaeological pieces discovered at Sumhuram, explaining different topics related to the site: daily life, religion, trade and contacts.

Moreover some panels show the variety and richness of the region of Dhofar about fauna, flora and traditional handicrafts; pictures illustrate the archaeological site before and after the excavations and the restoration works.

Visitors could also watch a movie, telling the history of the Sultanate with particular reference to the Omani Renaissance and see the models and the reconstruction of the city of Sumhuram and of the temple along the lagoon.
