Arch of Galerius, Thessaloniki, Greece

The best known monument of Thessaloniki with the White Tower, one of the charaktiristikotera of late antiquity, when Thessaloniki became the capital of the Caesar Galerius, is the arch or triumphal arch of Galerius, known today Kamara. It is in its original form for a oktapylo with four massive central pillars, 4 the secondary side, and as many bows low spheroidal dome.
