Welcome to the Apothecary Museum in Dortmund!
The Apothecary Museum Dortmund houses Germany’s largest private collection of pharmaceutical history, offering an impressive glimpse into the evolution of pharmacy with over 15,000 exhibits spread across 13 rooms.
From 2000 to 2016, thousands of visitors explored the former Apothecary Museum nestled in the depths of the Adler Pharmacy at Markt 4 in Dortmund. The cellar vaults enchanted with their charm and ambiance. What began with individual items displayed in a 100 m² space grew into an expansive private collection of pharmaceutical history. After a brief hiatus, the Apothecary Museum reopened in September 2017 at Wißstraße 11 in Dortmund, fashioned in the style of an old pharmacy and spanning 300 m². The charm, ambiance, expertise, and knowledgeable guided tours have been preserved.
