André François Giroux is a seasoned diplomat currently serving as the Consul General of Canada in Sydney, Australia. With an impressive career in international diplomacy, Giroux joined Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in 1995. His extensive experience includes postings at Canada’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York and the Canadian Embassy in Paris.
He also served as Canada’s Ambassador to Denmark from 2012 to 2016. In Canada, he held numerous leadership roles, including Director of the Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Division and the Office of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
