Almin Karamehmedovic’s journey to becoming President of ABC News is a testament to his dedication, journalistic excellence, and visionary leadership. Beginning his career with ABC News in 1998 as a freelance video editor in London, he quickly distinguished himself through his commitment to storytelling and in-depth reporting. His on-the-ground experiences, such as being among the first journalists to access Tora Bora, Afghanistan, in 2001, and embedding with the U.S. Army during the 2003 Iraq invasion, showcased his fearless pursuit of truth.

In 2008, Karamehmedovic transitioned to the U.S., joining “Nightline” and ascending to the role of executive producer. By 2014, he took the helm of “World News Tonight with David Muir” as executive producer, propelling it to become America’s most-watched newscast.
