Al Balid Archeological Site, Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, Oman
Al Baleed Archaeological Park is an open air Archaeological site across the Arabian Sea and adjacent to Al Husn Palaceand renowned Haffa Souq. This site is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a must place to visit in Salalah. Standard opening hours are from 8am to 8pm with a modest entrance charge per car.
Throughout the park, the information boards are placed. The information is written both in English and Arabic for the visitors to know more about this place. To cover Al Baleed Archaeological Park, one can hire a golf cart and explore the site quickly. The cart will stop at various places to see the site in details.
Al Baleed Archaeological Park, although closed at night, is illuminated with lights at night. This makes it visible to the passerby along the road.
