The mosque project designed by Ergün Subaşı started in 1989. Construction The most prominent architectural feature of the building, completed in October 2004, is a roof system inspired by the Turkish ottic tent, which is placed on the octagonal corners used in the Seljuk architecture instead of the classic single roof system .
