Aeroporto di Ravenna, officially known as Aeroporto di Ravenna “Gastone Novelli,” is a general aviation airport located approximately 5 kilometers south of the city center in the La Spreta area. Established in 1916, it has a rich history, including serving as a military base during World War I and later as a training ground for pilots. Today, it primarily caters to general aviation activities, including flight training, recreational flying, and hosting various aviation events.
The airport features a 1,200-meter asphalt runway (08/26) and a 600-meter grass runway (09/27). It is home to the Aero Club “F. Baracca” di Ravenna, which offers flight training programs and organizes aviation-related events. The airport also accommodates the Skydive Pull Out Ravenna, a skydiving school that conducts regular jumps.
