Adventure Tramway, Gdynia, Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland

Gdańsk’s public transport is not limited to the bus network and SKM railway, as it also features a very well-developed tram service linking the most distant districts of the city with the centre. The first trams appeared in Gdańsk in the late 19th Century. There are more than 200 stops in the city, and the length of the entire tram network is 52 km. Because trackways are separated from street traffic, this system is very fast and effective. To bring tram transport as close as possible to the tourist, a special phone app has been developed. You can download it to check the timetable for public transport. Most stops have electronic boards installed informing you about specific departure times, potential delays or suspensions. The City Transportation Office is also testing an application providing a real-time view of the location of specific trams and buses.
