Adobe Womens FA Cup Final

The upcoming FA Cup final between Manchester United Women and Tottenham Hotspur Women is generating a lot of excitement. This final is notable because it’s the first time since 2005 that a team other than Arsenal, Chelsea, or Manchester City will lift the trophy Both teams have had impressive runs to reach the final, with Manchester United defeating last season’s winners Chelsea, and Tottenham overcoming Leicester City in their respective semi-finals. It’s set to be a thrilling encounter as both teams aim to etch their names on the Adobe Women’s FA Cup. Good luck to both teams! Here are some key details about the match:

  • The final  Sunday, 12 May 2024
  • Kick Off: 1430
  • Venue: It will be held at the iconic Wembley Stadium.
  • Coverage: Full, live coverage of the match will be available, including on BBC1

Manchester United

Manchester United Women are set to take on Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley this weekend in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup final. Marc Skinner’s side are bidding to go one better than last season’s showpiece event, when we were narrowly defeated by Chelsea in front of a crowd of 77,390. Having beaten Emma Hayes’s side in the semi-final – and Newcastle United, Southampton and Brighton and Hove Albion in the earlier rounds – the Reds are ready to play at a sold-out national stadium for the second year in a row.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham will be competing in the first-ever major final this weekend as they face, Manchester United, at Wembley Stadium, and both sides will be aiming to claim the trophy for the first time in their history.

Martha Thoma “It’s really exciting,” the 27-year-old said as preparations for the showpiece event geared up at Enfield.

“Obviously, we have a big week of training ahead for us to gain some confidence, get good feelings going into the game on Sunday and just preparing ourselves the best we can.

“It would really top it off on what has already been an excellent season and it’s definitely what we are aiming for. We will be gutted to walk away with nothing so we are putting all our energy into lifting that trophy.

“They [Man Utd] are coming off the back of what they feel would be a disappointing result and we were slightly disappointed to not get three points, so both sides will be looking for a point to prove. We can expect a physical battle, it will be a tough game, but I’m quite hopeful and it’s going to be an unbelievable occasion.”
