The weir Old is a water body located in the city of Campina Grande , in the state of Paraíba , Brazil . It was initially a source of water supply for Campina Grande and region . Then, when the city started to have water supply piped, its initial purpose was lost, and, today, is a postcard and historical patrimony of the city.
The Paraíba Museum of Popular Art (MAPP) of the State University of Paraíba (UEPB), designed by the architect Oscar Niemeyer, is located on its banks .
