Batty Langley’s Hotel

Batty Langley’s “one of the world’s 50 best new hotels. An unusual name, we admit, for a most unusual small hotel. Batty Langley (1696 – 1751) published handbooks designed to help inexperienced clients plan their Georgian houses and gardens “in the most Grand Taste”. They helped us, too, in making Batty Langley’s “one of the world’s 50 best new hotels”

With the name Batty Langley, you’re destined for great things; the same is true of Batty Langley’s hotel, which delivers Georgian fun and frolics in London’s fashionable Spitalfields. Rewind a few centuries, minus the scabies and scrofula, at this witty and eccentric hideaway, whose bedrooms and bathrooms hint at a healthy sense of humour.
