Dame Carolyn McCall OBE is a shining example of visionary leadership, determination, and breaking barriers. Under her leadership, The Guardian thrived, becoming a global force in news media.
In 2010, she made a bold leap into aviation as CEO of easyJet. Despite her lack of experience in the sector, her strategic vision and fearless approach transformed the airline, enhancing its reputation for reliability and customer service. During her tenure, easyJet became one of Europe’s most successful low-cost carriers.
In 2018, she took on a new challenge as CEO of ITV, steering the broadcaster through a rapidly changing media landscape. Focused on digital transformation and innovation, she has driven growth while championing diversity and sustainability within the entertainment industry.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dame McCall is a champion of gender equality and a role model for women in leadership. Her services to business and diversity earned her the title of Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2016. Her legacy inspires others to embrace change and strive for excellence, proving that resilience and vision can redefine what is possible.
