Huairou Xiangshuihu Natural Scenic Area
Located at the east of Dazhenyu Village, Bohai Town, the west of Mutianyu Great Wall, Huairou District, Xiangshuihu Natural Scenic Area is a magnificent tourist attraction richly endowed by nature of suburban Beijing. It is a fine campsite. The reason why the lake is called Xiangshuihu is that the flow at the lake source is huge, which can be heard from thousands of meters away.
The scenic area is a valley boasting many tourist spots, including the Great Wall, ancient caves, mountains, rivers, springs, ponds, and waterfalls. On either side of the valley lies the majestic Great Wall. Every nook and cranny arranges layer upon layer of mountains, with jagged rocks of grotesque shapes. There you will be amazed by the secret workings of nature. The waterfall, refreshing visitors’ minds, dashes down from the 50-meter mountain top, making “ the Milky Way fell from the azure sky” no longer merely a verse in a poem. Against the Mutianyu Great Wall flows a clear valley stream, a wonderful place for camping. Contact the staff of the scenic area to reserve a site for you in advance if intending to camp there.
