George Square is the principal civic square in the city of Glasgow, Scotland. It is one of six squares in the city centre, the others being Cathedral Square, St Andrew’s Square, St Enoch Square, Royal Exchange Square, and Blythswood Square on Blythswood Hill.
Established in 1781, and named after King George III, George Square is recognized as the cultural hub of Glasgow’s city centre. In the current period, it acts as a multipurpose venue. Depending on the time of year, or the social-political winds of the day, you can come across.
