London’s Berkeley hotel stood out among recent travellers in more ways than one. Guests found its central location unbeatable, the dining delectable and on-site amenities outstanding. The hotel is located in the posh neighborhood of Knightsbridge, across the street from Hyde Park and just blocks away from Green Park at Buckingham Palace and the Victoria and Albert Museum, in addition to two Tube stations. On-site, lodgers will find plenty to do, too.
The Berkeley boasts a fitness center, an extensive spa facility and a rooftop pool. Luxury chauffeur services, a Michelin restaurant (Marcus) and the fashion-inspired Prêt-à-Portea afternoon tea spot (a guest favorite) are also available. Plus, guests in select suites can borrow items from a complimentary fashion trunk full of designer duds.
Families will feel right at home here as well. There are tons of children’s amenities available, from basics like babysitting services, bottle warmers and highchairs, to extras like personalized welcome treats, iPad rentals and a host of other entertainment options. Standard rooms are small (starting at 258 square feet), but guests find them to be comfortable (thanks to bathrobes, minibars stocked with goodies, complimentary Wi-Fi access and flat-screen TVs) and surprisingly quiet despite the property’s central location.
