Plage de Salé Ville, Rabat, Morocco

The most popular beaches in the city are those on either side of the mouth of the Bouregreg River. They are located on the bank of Rabat next to the Kasbah of Oudayas and are equipped with beach services and restaurants. Continuing south, the coast becomes rocky and ends at the Lighthouse. If you continue along the coast further south, there is an area that is not suitable for swimming. Next to the Ocenao district, you can see the old Rottembourg fort or Fort Hervé, built during the First World War and the old military hospital. This area is in the rehabilitation phase.

On the north bank of Salé is a small marina behind the Muslim cemetery and the medina. The rocky coast continues north, next to the ramparts of the Medina, where we find the mausoleum and the cemetery of Sidi Benacher.
