The Sacro Monte di Varallo, Varallo, Italy
The Sacro Monte was built in the late 1400s, a recreation of small places of Palestine.
Seventy years later, the project was called “New Jerusalem”. The complex of buildings, fifty was built over a few centuries. Each chapel is, with frescoes around 4000 figures with groups of statues about 400. In this site you can admire the fantastic chapels that are the pride of Varallo.
