Built in the beginning of the eighteenth century, it was frequented by intellectuals and representatives of the Risorgimento Italian. Always one of the most beautiful and romantic residences on Lake Como, Villa Balbianello in Lenno (CO) overlooking a lovely wooded promontory on the extreme tip of Dosso Lavedo, which dips into the lake, forming a small peninsula.
