A church of legend. A mixture of local history and legend are the Church of Piedigrotta unique in its kind. For hundreds of years handed down the legend of a shipwreck in the mid ‘600: a sailboat with Neapolitan crew was surprised by a violent storm. Lies along a stretch of the SS 522 descending a granite staircase, you walk towards a panoramic path from which you can breathe a pure sea air of the Gulf of St. Euphemia.
