Charles Aznavour Square, Yerevan, Armenia
Experience street life in a scenic setting at Charles Aznavour Square, a cozy and charming downtown plaza named after a famous French-Armenian singer. Designed in 1924, the square today hosts many cafes, sculptures, and open-air events. Check out the fountain with zodiac sign, or grab a bite from one of the various vendors selling snacks. Impressive hotels and theaters line the plaza’s semi-circular shape. Play chess on a giant chess board spanning 30 sq m (323 sq ft) or take a stroll. This place serves as a typical spot for concerts and youth gatherings.
