The history of the port of luanda began about 500 years ago, when Paul days Novais chose to disembark in a region near the mouth of the Kwanza River. The bay of Luanda was the ideal point, since, besides allowing to combine deep waters and good protection against the waves towards the prevailing winds, also it allowed the construction of fortifications from the entrance of Corimba until San Pedro.
