The Ferlo, Senegal
The Ferlo Desert, also known as the Ferio Desert, is a desert in northern-central Senegal. It is inhabited by the Serer and the Fulani.
The Ferlo, a vast arid area in the centre of the country, is an enchantingly authentic region off the beaten track boasting village markets, Peul nomads and a warm welcome. Between Linguère and Matam the trail runs through the North Ferlo wildlife reserve and its distinct species from the African savanna
