Daishoin Temple, Hatsukaichi, Japan 

Daisho-in Temple is the 14th temple in the Chūgoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage. The temple is 5 mins away from the world heritage site “Itsukushima Shrine” and the base of Mount Misen. Daisho-in temple complex is a spread over a large area on a slope of the mountain with beautiful buildings and on different levels.

It was founded by the monk Kukai in the year 80 which was the 1st year of the Daidō era. Kukai was one of the most famous monks in Japan and the founder of Shingon Buddhism.
