Quriyat Castle, Quriyat, Muscat Governorate, Oman
Qurayat Fort is located in the centre of the wilayat next to the Qurayat Souq. The Al Saira Fort was used in the past as a control tower because of its location in the coast of the wilayat that overlooked the Gulf of Oman. Al Sahel Castle is located in the coastal area which was built during the reign of Imam Nasir bin Murshid al Yarubi. This castle was control centre of the army commander in the reign of Sultan bin Saif al Yarubi. The castle Dag was built in the Portuguese era and was renovated during the reign of Sultan Faisal bin Taimour.
