Bagua Mountain Ecosystems Visitor Center, Changhua City, Changhua County, Taiwán
In order to conentrate existing tourism resources, the Changhua County Government built Mt. Bagua Skywalk. The scenery spots in the south and north are connected through the construction of the dot, line and plane to extend the scope of the tourism in the Giant Buddha Scenic Area of Mt. Bagua to create improve recreation quality of ecological education for parents and children. In addition, the new image of the giant Buddha was created to facilitate tourism development in Changhua County to create a more comfortable resort-like environment for the public.
The Skywalk is made from lightweight steel frames, and its design is the barrier type with line. The route is to cross Guashan Road from the sky, and it was built along the winding mountain from the location of the giant Buddha. There are seven entrances set along the way, and the whole length of the Skywalk is 1005 meters. The highest part is 16 meters, but most of the walk is 6 to 7 meters.
The Mt. Bagua Skywalk connects the Huge Buddha of Mt. Ba-Gua, which is the landmark of Changhua, all the way to Changhua Living Art Center, and you can see Lotus Pond Ecological Park, Martyr’s Shrine, baseball field, and Changhua County Changhua Arts Senior High School. There are dynamic and static scenic sites, including historical and cultural sites. You can watch the view of the sky, wander in the forest, experience the beauty of the ecology with the crown layer like “the bridge of the sky”, which is the longest skywalk in Taiwan.
