Bilu Giant Tree, Xiulin Township, Hualien County, Taiwán

Located at the 128 km mark of Central Cross-Island Highway, the fifty-meter-tall Beliu Giant Tree has been standing for more than 3,000 years and is still going strong.

The large, lichen-draped tree might give you an illusion of being in a fairy tale world. Looking down to the plateau around 500 meters away from the tree, you will find the remains of the old Hehuan Crossing Old Trail. For those who want to stretch their legs a bit, there is a cozy café where you can have a coffee break from the long drive. Order a cup of signature peach flavored black tea and take a quiet moment to enjoy the tranquility at an altitude of 2,150 meters above sea level. If you are lucky enough, a vast sea of clouds might spread out right before you.
