Rising from the foundations of the historic clinical hospital that shares its ancient name — the same name as the great fortress from which Yerevan itself was born — the Erebuni Medical Center is today the largest and most comprehensive medical institution in all of Armenia. Founded in 1991, it has grown into a centre of over 100 departments, providing ambulance response, emergency medical care, diagnostic services, advanced surgery, cardiology, cardiovascular invasive surgery, and neurosurgery, alongside a maternity clinic, a polyclinic, and the European Center for Nuclear Medicine.
The centre employs 480 doctors and 685 nurses, with more than 600 patients receiving inpatient treatment every day. Its trauma and emergency capabilities are among the most formidable in the region, with a resuscitation department that has earned extraordinary gratitude from patients whose lives have been reclaimed from the very edge. By expanding ties with leading clinics worldwide, Erebuni creates opportunities for comprehensive collaboration between Armenian doctors and the foremost international specialists. It is, in every sense, a medical city — vast, vigilant, and relentlessly dedicated to healing.
