
This is by far the most significant and popular stadium in Belém. With a capacity of over 53,000, it is one of the largest stadiums in Brazil and serves as a neutral ground for the city’s biggest matches. It is the primary venue for the classic “Re-Pa” matches between the two biggest rivals in the state: Clube do Remo and Paysandu Sport Club. Mangueirão is a historic site that has hosted international events, including World Cup qualifiers, and is currently undergoing a major modernization project to prepare the city to host COP 30.
