Fluminense Football Club is a legendary Brazilian football club that is a member-owned association, playing its home matches at the historic Maracanã Stadium, and has a rich history of winning both domestic and international trophies. Unlike many clubs with a single owner, Fluminense is a member-owned organization. This means the club is run by an elected president and a board, with the current president being Mário Bittencourt* This structure allows the club to be guided by its members and its long-standing traditions. While remaining member-owned, Fluminense has also partnered with private investment firms to help secure its financial future, which is a modern and exciting step for the club. The current head coach is Renato Gaúcho, a well-respected figure in Brazilian football.

Fluminense plays its home matches at the world-famous **Estádio do Maracanã**, which is a symbol of Brazilian football. Originally built for the 1950 FIFA World Cup, the stadium holds a storied history of both immense triumphs and heart-wrenching moments, most notably the “Maracanaço,” when Brazil lost the 1950 World Cup final. Fluminense has a rich and impressive list of honors, reflecting its status as a Brazilian football giant.

The pinnacle of their recent success came in 2023 when they won the prestigious **Copa Libertadores**, the premier club competition in South America. They followed this up by winning the Recopa Sudamericana in 2024. The club also counts the **1952 Copa Rio** as an intercontinental title.
