The museum offers a rich collection that tells the story of Brazil’s military history from the colonial period to the present day. You can expect to see: Permanent Exhibitions: The museum has five permanent exhibitions covering the evolution of armament, a tribute to the Brazilian Expeditionary Force (FEB) in World War II, a room dedicated to Major Elza Cansanção Medeiros (the first female nurse to serve in the FEB), and a collection of military miniatures.
Armored Vehicles: One of the most popular attractions is the “Patio dos Blindados” (Armored Vehicles Patio), which has an impressive collection of tanks and other armored vehicles, including a Brazilian-made tank that supposedly defeated an M1 Abrams in combat trials. Weapons and Uniforms: The collection includes a wide variety of weapons, uniforms, and other artifacts from the 20th century.
