Haltwhistle Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Pitch in a lovely clearing in the forests of Northumberland, in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and European Geopark. Haltwhistle Club Site’s setting in a clearing in Bellister Wood makes it the ideal get-away-from-it-all camping destination. The wood, once part of the Bellister Castle Estate, is now managed by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife and you could find yourself sharing your pitch with rabbits and birds, including woodpeckers.

This 45 pitch site between the Northumberland National Park and North Pennines is surrounded by magnificent walking and cycling country. The Haltwhistle Rings – a series of 22 local walks is one way to take in the local scenery along with Hadrian’s Wall, five miles from the campsite, offers picturesque walking opportunities. Back at Haltwhistle campsite, the adjacent River Tyne provides fishing for those with the appropriate rod licence.

After a day cycling or walking or enjoying some of the area’s many attractions our secluded campsite among the trees is a peaceful oasis to relax and unwind. The modern facilities include showers and toilets, a laundry and washing up area.
