Machzikei Hadas Synagogue

Congregation Machzikei Hadas. Established in 1907 and consecrated in 1927, Machzikei Hadas is one of Ottawa’s oldest synagogues. The original building, located at 259 Murray Street, was designed by architect Werner Edgar Noffke and featured murals depicting Jewish themes. The congregation relocated to its current location in 1974.
