Library of Parliament

The Library of Parliament in Ottawa stands as a testament to Canada’s rich history and architectural grandeur. Situated at the rear of the Centre Block on Parliament Hill, this Gothic Revival structure was completed in 1876 and has since become an iconic symbol of Canadian heritage. Renowned for its intricate design, the library features a 16-sided reading room adorned with vaulted ceilings, carved wood paneling, and a central statue of Queen Victoria.

While the main library is currently closed for renovations, visitors can still experience its splendor through the immersive multimedia exhibit, “Parliament: The Immersive Experience,” located at 211 Sparks Street. This 45-minute attraction offers a 360° journey through the Centre Block, showcasing key spaces such as the Senate, House of Commons, and the Library itself.
