Established in 2004 in the former Lincoln Park area, Peacekeeper Park honors Canadian Forces members who have died during peacekeeping and peace support missions since the end of the Second World War. The park features a Wall of Honour inscribed with the names of these individuals, as well as a statue commemorating peacekeepers. It serves as the focal point for Calgary’s annual Peacekeeper Day ceremonies on August 9.
