Rauland Ski Center, Telemark, Norway
Rauland is a part of Vinje municipality, the largest district in the county of Telemark. As 80 percent of the district lies higher than 800 metres above sea level, it is a typical mountain region. During spring, summer and autumn, Rauland offers undisturbed nature, varied hiking trails, good fishing, cycling, horse riding, and moose safaris which guarantee you’ll get to see these magnificent animals.
In the winter season the area offers a wide assortment of skiing opportunities with alpine skiing slopes, a large snowboard park, miles of groomed cross-country tracks, and Norway’s largest toboggan centre at Vierli. Choose between three different ski resorts: Vierli Skisenter, Rauland Skisenter and Raulandsfjell Alpinsenter. Rauland also boasts one of Norway’s best snowboard parks, Vierli Terrengpark.
