Djupadalen, Haugesund, Rogaland, Norway

The recreational area Djupadalen is located close to the centre of Haugesund. The area is often used for hiking and recreation throughout the year. In summertime you can swim in Eivindsvannet, a small lake in the middle of this recreational area.

Being located in Haugesund, it is easy to get out in the woods by going on a round trip of approximately 10km. You go up Djupaskarsvegen to Djupadalen and back via Kattanakk and Haraldsvang and back to the city centre.

Approximately 3 km from the start you will find yourself at the point called Stemmen, a small dam with a white wooden house on top. The trail along the west side of the water is universally designed with leading edges along path. There are numerous hiking trails in the area and Djupadalen is also used as touring base for trips up to Steinsfjellet and to the rest of Byheiene.
