Kode 4, Kode Kunstmuseer og komponisthjem, Bergen, Hordaland, Norway
In CODE 4, the children meet their own arena, KunstLab . Here our youngest guests can enjoy themselves in Norway’s first art museum for children and learn about color and perspective lessons.
Right now, the exhibition Drømmedryss is here. On the first floor we also show the large exhibition with both painting and paperwork by Nikolai Astrup .
On the second floor you can make an art history from the 1400s to 1900 , and on the 3rd floor you can follow the movement of 20th century art , with an international and local perspective.
The museum shop in CODE 4 has a rich selection especially for children and follows the museum opening hours.
In CODE 4 you will also find the restaurant / bar Lysverket
The building was designed by the architects Fredrik Arnesen and Arthur Darre Kaarbø, and was completed in 1938 as the administration building for Bergen Lyserker. Since 2003, the building has functioned as a museum.
