Otternes Bygdetun, Aurland, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway
Aurland municipality took over farms at gnr. 33 in Otternes in 1987. In the agreement on which the acquisition is based, the municipality also assumes responsibility for building buildings and, in addition, responsible for future maintenance.
A three-person working group, chaired by the municipal council and named Otternesgruppa,
served as an interim administration for Otternes Bygdetun in the post-acquisition period until the fall of 2009. At that time, the Otternesgruppe, by decision in case KS-050/09, changed Status of the Working Group for the Otterns Development Team (SOB). The decision further stated that “The Board should act as a building committee for current restoration projects at Otternes Bygdetun. The board may decide whether all or part of the board shall have this function. ”
