Khabarovskiy Krayevoy Park, Khabarovskiy kray, Russia
The history of the creation and creation of the park. Muravyov-Amursky.
On June 12, 1854, the Governor General of Siberia, N.N. Ants on the steep bank of the Amur served as a “thanksgiving to God for the safe arrival of the first Amur alloy to the mouth of the Ussuri River.”
After the signing of the Treaty of Aygun on the transfer of land to the right bank of the Amur River of Russia, a 13-line battalion led by Captain Y. Dyachenko to the mouth of the Ussuri River was sent from Siberia on the orders of N. Muraviev to establish a military post.
May 31, 1858 the soldiers of the battalion arrived in the designated place and founded the military post “Khabarovka” in a picturesque place on the cliff of the Amur River.
In 1858 (on the site of the prayer service in 1854), soldiers of the 13th linear battalion under the command of Yakov Dyachenko laid the church in the name of St. Mary Magdalene. Later, the place around the church was not built up. In 1870 the church was dismantled, and on the site of its altar a chapel was built in memory of the first church in the city and the place of the city’s laying by N.N.Murav’ev of the Amur (in 1929 the chapel was demolished).
In 1884, in the territory of a natural city garden, the Garrison Assembly was built (now the Art Museum is located in this building), the city garden was transferred to the military department for 10 years.
In 1894 the city garden was taken into the jurisdiction of the city, at the same time the institute of public observers (trustees) was introduced. The first trustee was the head of the City Duma Georgy Murashov.
In the summer of 1901, a wooden staircase was built on the descent from the Cathedral Square from the Treasury (now the Parus business center).
In 1906 a musical gazebo was equipped in the city garden, where the brass bands of the 24th and 29th East Siberian Rifle Regiments played alternately.
