Triumphal Arch, Blagoveshchensk, Amurskaya oblast’, Russia
The arch was built in the city of Blagoveshchensk, on the Amur River. In 1936, the monument was destroyed by flooding, and only after 80 years talked about its restoration.
Reconstruction of the triumphal arch began in 2003 and ended in 2 years. Reconstruction was carried out at the expense of the diocese, local entrepreneurs, Amur residents and residents of neighboring regions. Arch is a 20-meter-high gate with towers, crowned with two-headed eagles and icons.
