Goodwin’s Court

Goodwin’s Court is a picturesque and historic alley in central London, nestled between Leicester Square and Covent Garden. Known for its Georgian charm, the court dates back to around 1627 and features gas lamps, polished black doors, and historical architecture.

Once a row of shops, it now serves as a tranquil, atmospheric passage that transports visitors to a bygone era. The court has been immortalized in popular culture, with Harry Potter fans noting its resemblance to Knockturn Alley, though it hasn’t appeared in the films. Additionally, the alley has been featured in movies like Mary Poppins Returns (2018)
