Intercession Cathedral, Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarskiy kray, Russia
The uniqueness of this temple is that it is the oldest of all the temples in Krasnoyarsk. It was established in 1785 and consecrated in 1795. The Cathedral is a sample of Siberian baroque. Silhouette of the tier five domes is especially graceful: its domes are crowned with golden octagonal onion cupolas with figured crosses. This pleasingly small old church dating from 1795 has an interior of unusually glossed and intricately moulded stucco framing haloed saints.
