Monument to Makariy Kalyazinskiy, Kalyazin, Tver Oblast, Russia
One of the main attractions of Kalyazin is the monument to Makari Kalyazinsky. Sainted Makarios Kalyazinsky – the founder of the Kalyazinsky Trinity Monastery, the largest on the Tver land and one of the most powerful in Russia. Completely destroyed. From the monastery there were only islands, called “Monastic” in the people.
