Monument to Afanasiy Nikitinm, Afanasiya Nikitina Embankment, Tver Oblast, Russia
The monument is one of the most popular sights to see in Tver and it is one of the favourite places of the citizens of Tver.
Nikitin was a merchant from Tver and the first Europen who had reached India in the 15th century.
It is overlooking the Volga river and there is a great view of the City Garden and the two bridges over the Volga.It’s also a good place to walk in the park along the river.
