Yasuhiro Yamashita, born on June 1, 1957, is a prominent figure in the world of judo and sports administration. He gained international acclaim as a judoka, winning the gold medal in the open category at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Throughout his competitive career, Yamashita was known for his dominance, remaining undefeated in international competitions and securing numerous titles including multiple All Japan Judo Championships and World Judo Championships. He retired in 1985 at the age of 28 after an illustrious career marred only by injuries
