Nicki Nicol

Nicki Nicol is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Secretary General of the New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC). She was appointed to this role in December 2021, succeeding Kereyn Smith, who held the position for 11 years. Prior to joining the NZOC, Nicol worked at New Zealand Rugby (NZ Rugby), where she served as the Chief Transformation Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Her career includes significant leadership roles across various sectors in New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

Nicol’s leadership at the NZOC focuses on collaboration across the sporting community and preparation for major international competitions, such as the Olympic Games. She is a strong advocate for sports and brings a wealth of experience in governance and strategic planning to her role, aiming to enhance the performance and profile of New Zealand athletes on the world stage.
