Isla Ramos is an inspiring leader whose journey bridges the worlds of technology, business transformation, and social impact with unwavering commitment. Born in Granada, Spain, she earned a degree in Business Administration with a focus on finance and completed a Senior Executive Program at ESADE.She launched her career in the fast-paced tech sector, holding leadership roles at global companies such as IBM and Lenovo — most notably serving as General Manager for Lenovo in Spain and Portugal before taking on international business transformation roles across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
In March 2025, Isla assumed the role of Director General (CEO) of Save the Children España, stepping up from her previous position as Deputy Director where she had led strategicplanning, territorial organisation and digital transformation. Her leadership marks a pivotal moment for the organisation as it tackles the complex and evolving challenges facing children in Spain and beyond — from poverty and education to protection and global emergencies. She emphasises that the organisation’s priority is to remain the “voice of childhood”, provoke the changes needed and continually innovate to pursue that goal.
Under Isla’s stewardship, Save the Children España is strengthened by her unique blend of corporate acumen and humanitarian vision. She brings a mindset of transformation — from streamlined processes to cultural renewal — to the nonprofit sector, assuring that no child is left behind in an increasingly uncertain world. Her story is a powerful reminder that the skills honed in business can be leveraged for good, and that leadership is most consequential when it amplifies the voices of the vulnerable. With her at the helm, the organisation’s mission is clearer, its ambition higher, and its promise to children across Spain and the globe more steadfast than ever.
