The Restaurant, Between Tradition and Innovation. It will be his son Antonio to carry on his business; and he is not alone in this adventure: by his side is his wife, that girl he met in America who, as soon as she arrived in Italy, immediately fell in love with Capri. Now it is Francesco and his sister Renata, together with their sons Andrea and Piero, who continue the work of their grandparents; in the latest generation of the De Angelis family, there is still a strong desire to follow in the footsteps of their ancestors, and they will uphold the name of the restaurant La Capannina in the years to come. The current location of the restaurant at Viale Botteghe 12B in Capri welcomes customers on a splendid veranda with a capacity of 60/80 people, plus another 40 seats in two other rooms.
It all begins with Francesco, an Abruzzese chef who, from Rome, where he lives for work, moves to Capri to work at the restaurant of the Hotel Quisisana. The island captivates him, both for its unspoiled beauty and because here he encounters the love of his life, Teresa. He decides to open a restaurant first in Piazza Umberto I, then to move to the current location on Via Le Botteghe, thus founding La Capannina.
