Doug King

Doug King, Executive Chairman of Coventry City, is a distinguished businessman holding the positions of CEO at Stratford-upon-Avon-based Yelo Enterprises and RCMA Capital LLP. Graduating with a degree in Mathematical Engineering from Loughborough University, King commenced his career at food company Cargill, where he ascended the ranks over a decade. Subsequently, he ventured into global petroleum trading at Crown Resources and established Aisling Analytics in 2004 alongside business partner Michael Coleman. With RCMA Capital LLP managing investments exceeding $400 million, Yelo Enterprises recently directed over £70 million toward constructing a state-of-the-art oilseed processing facility for renewable energy generation.

Upon assuming the role of Executive Chairman at Coventry City Football Club, Doug  emphasised the challenges the club had encountered in recent years. Acknowledging the commendable efforts of Joy and her team in re-establishing the club in Coventry and achieving on-field success, King expressed his determination to initiate a new beginning, commencing with securing the club’s home in Coventry. Recognizing the community’s desire for long-term security and local football, King underscored the significance of this ambition and prioritized the acquisition bid for the CBS Arena. Furthermore, King articulated his vision for regeneration and pledged to engage with Coventry City Council representatives promptly.

Upon the initial announcement of the club’s takeover, King outlined his primary objectives both on and off the field. Expressing his honor and excitement to lead the club into its next phase, King lauded the collaborative efforts that facilitated the swift ratification of the deal. Noting the overwhelming support from Sky Blues fans, King expressed gratitude and anticipation for the club’s future under his stewardship, emphasizing the collective achievements that lie ahead.T
